The Process

Services offered are flexible depending on the needs of the client. They vary from a short consultation with written recommendations for a small problem area, to a well-developed master-plan for a property, sequenced over several years.

 In a typical situation, I will visit the property, talk with the client about their visions for, and uses of the space, then evaluate the site: take measurements and photographs, and develop 2 or 3 preliminary plans. These are presented to the client for review when changes can be made. Once the plans have been further developed, then the client can take the final plans and use them as a blueprint to develop the property as they see fit.  Alternatively, I often work with stonemasons, arborists and irrigation specialists to implement the plans.  

 If a client needs help visualizing a project, I often use Photoshop, Illustrator, hand sketching or a model to show in 3D how a design or planting will look when finished.

The initial site visit is free of charge.
